Terms of Use - TornadoRiskCheck

What this site is

TornadoRiskCheck reports county-level NOAA tornado history and sourced storm-shelter cost figures. It is informational only and is not a substitute for a licensed contractor's or engineer's assessment of a specific property, or for reading your own insurance policy's actual terms.

No warranty on the figures

Every figure traces to NOAA's own published tornado-track database or a sourced cost guide, but a county's history describes what has been recorded there since 1950 - it cannot and does not predict whether, when, or how severely a tornado will strike any specific address. Nothing on this site is guaranteed to match what a specific property will actually experience, and no result here should be the sole basis for a real-estate, insurance, or construction decision.

No engineering, legal or insurance advice

Nothing on this site is engineering, legal, or insurance advice. Tornado risk is a real consideration, but this site reports NOAA's own historical data and sourced cost figures only - it does not inspect, certify, or guarantee the safety of any building, and it does not know the actual terms of your insurance policy. Whether to build a shelter or add coverage should be based on an actual assessment from a licensed contractor and a reading of your own policy.
